I got into the office smiling, totally unaware of what lay in store for me. First it started with the tea lady who missed a step and poured a hot cup of black coffee on my trousers. I had yelped in pain, jumping up from my seat and had hit a colleague’s laptop right off the desk onto the floor and none of us needed a diviner to know the screen had cracked.
The problem was that it was that system that had the financials that my colleague had been working on for the presentation to be held that morning to the board at 9.45am. The time was 8.30am and there was no way in hell we could put it together on time on another system, considering it had taken 4 days to put the numbers together. Of course, the presentation went pear-shaped. My boss, Keith, tried the best he could to improvise after explaining to the board the unfortunate incidence. While a very tiny part of me was happy that he was under fire, since it’s not like he’s a nice guy, I felt really bad for him at the moment. The board had shredded him. Somehow, these old men in horn-rimmed glasses and pot-bellies appeared to expect him to have every detail of the financial reports, which was about 15 slides, all in his head.
They shredded him…and he shredded us – but I had had enough for one day…

Kissing Snakes: My book is now available in eBook format!
After a lot of feedback and request from people who read and enjoyed the "Kissing Snake" series, I have taken time to work on creating an eBook out of it.
My eBook is finally available on Smashword! Yay!
I am working on making it available on Amazon and many more sites; the idea is a short interesting story that you can read on the go - and this promises to be the first of many books to follow!
So, Grab Your Copy Now by clicking on the image below.
It's just $2.99!
Many thanks for all the encouraging feedback.

Mashed Potato Life
I used to think I had to up my time management skills
because when you think about it, how do you effectively combine being a father, husband, musician, office
worker, entrepreneur, writer, ‘exerciser’ and all the other interesting things I’d
wanted to do with my life – especially when you think about 4 hours of traffic
on a daily basis?!
H.E.C.T.I.C!
C.R.A.Z.Y!!
With most Sunday mornings spent at home lounging, I was a
bit happy that I had some time to play with, but time never seemed to be
enough.
Then I stumbled on a rather interesting book called
Refamily, which is a great read by the way and available online for free.
Yay!
It highlighted certain things I had already known, but re-emphasized
a principle I would like to call the ‘Mashed potato life’. What this is simply
about is that instead of breaking down various facets of your life into linear
compartments, you can actually get more done when you combine them, as in,
bring them together.

May her breasts satisfy you...
Just before I am crucified for making reference to the
mammary glands peculiar to the female gender, this passage is taken from the
bible and it is found in the book of Proverbs 5: 19
“Let her be as the loving
hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou
ravished always with her love.”
I have spent quite a while thinking about the fast-crumbling
institution of marriage and for someone who has been married for only about
three years, I definitely do not consider myself an expert on the subject.
However, I have had cause to observe, learn and know certain things about this
unique relationship that has the power to shape the future, affect unborn
generations and change the very course of history. All you have to do is
imagine Hitler born into a home where there was a strong bond of love and where
selflessness soon became second nature. For whatever reason, things did not
exactly work out that way and over 6
million Jews paid the price for ONE twisted soul – and yet I seriously
doubt that when his parents first cradled his lovely form as a baby, they would
have understood the gravity of the life they held in their hands…
But that in itself is a tale for another day.

The Embrace of Me
I am sure
you knew me: I was that random kid that used to enjoy being by myself, the one
who asked the weirdest questions…actually, the one who always had lots of
questions, the one who was always asking why things were the way they were, the
one who never seemed to march in line, who didn’t understand thinking out of
the box because I could see none. I am sure you knew me, the one with the weird
answers, the strange solutions, the one who paused when everyone ran and who
ran when everyone paused…and when I say “everyone”, that is, again, another
subjective term because the truth is there were so many others like me.

The Joy of Lying
Come with me and allow me to take you to that place where everything
is possible, right into your mind, and now I will point you to the man.
See, he is right above you.
Now, I will also take you into his very mind. We are allowed to do so because as I said earlier, this place is your mind – and in this place, anything is possible.
So now, we will enter into his mind.
